To Break Ground On Renovation
The Dance Place Board of Directors & Co-Directors Carla Perlo and Deborah Riley will host a Groundbreaking Ceremony on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 4:30 – 6:00 PM to celebrate the expansion and renovation of Dance Place beginning mid-August.
After 32 years of being the “hub of dance” for Washington, DC, Dance Place is ready for an expansion and a major renovation. While under construction from August 2013-February 2014, we will present performances in a variety of theaters and host daily classes at two locations on 8th St NE. About The Moving Forward Campaign
Dance Place is undergoing a $5 million capital campaign, “Moving Forward.” The campaign has the following three aspects: expansion and renovation of our main facility, program enhancement and the establishment of a building and cash reserve to improve the financial underpinning of the organization that will sustain our spirit of creativity for the next thirty years. To date, $3.07 million has been raised towards the $5 million goal.
