May 18th, Edgewood Yard and Plant Sale

Hello, neighbors! We are planning a neighborhood-wide yard and plant sale to cooperatively clean out those un-used possessions and make them available to those who could use them. The date is set for May 18th from 8am – 1pm. You can stay at your house, or join a neighbor – we’ll coordinate a map, announcements and provide pricing stickers. Part of the proceeds will go towards the Friends of Edgewood Recreation and you can make a donation, too, if you’d like.
If you would like to participate, please contact:

May 24th Bike Ride with Neighbors

BicylesSPACE is a great bike shop in DC that hosts a series of free bike rides around the city.  A group of neighbors usually does these rides together, so please send me an email (lifeontheedgewood@gmail.com) if you would like to join us!  They are easy paced and end with a picnic which is a great way to meet other cyclists and neighbors.

Announcing Our First Full Moon Outing This Season-- Join Us for a Ride and Picnic!

The Full Moon will be out Friday, May 24th and we are excited to again start up our Full Moon Outings that each time attracted hundreds of riders last summer.

Be sure to wear light colors and join us for an evening mosey along the waterfront to enjoy the pleasures of a calm spring night. After meeting at the shop at 8pm, the moonlight will guide our ride through the city. Along the way, there will be some musical surprises. And, we will finish with a grand picnic on the boardwalk overlooking the water at Yards Park.

We are happy to present this event for free. Enjoy a great evening of riding, music, food, and refreshing beverages on us! The night will be full of simple fun!
Please RSVP to our facebook invite and register here for the ride so that we can know how many people are coming. And, if you're willing to help set up the picnic or serve as a marshall along the ride route, kindly send a message to volunteer@bicyclespacedc.com.
