RIA Fall Fest Kickoff Event Fall Outdoor Movie Night Announced: Nightmare Before Christmas

WHO IS INVITED: Everyone! 

WHERE: On the Met Branch Trail near the Rhode Island Ave NE Pedestrian Bridge and RIA Shopping Center entrance to the trail

WHEN: Friday, September 30th when the sun sets (about 6:45 pm)

WHY:  Kicking off RIA Fall Fest the Friends of Edgewood and the MBT 5K are excited to bring the "Nightmare Before Christmas" to the Edgewood community so that all of our neighbors can get in the Halloween spirit and snuggle up with a blanket on a crisp fall night under the stars to watch one of Tim Burton's most acclaimed films.  We hope to see you there.  Please contact Marley Rave, marley.rave@gmail.com with questions.

Free Outdoor Movie in Edgewood Tonight on the MBT!!

Enjoy the beautiful weather and cult classic The Princess Bride starting at dusk (around 7:45 pm) tonight on the Met Branch Trail next to the new pedestrian bridge.  This is being cosponsored by Friends of Edgewood and the MBT 5K.

Edgewood Garden Workshop this Saturday at 10:30

Please see the message below- I have some pretty good sized tomato and bean plant seedlings I am donating for take home to those that come out!

Greetings Edgewood Neighbors,

Our second Garden Workshop of the summer will be this Saturday, June 8th at 10:30am at the garden (3rd and Evarts St. NE). Come learn how to start your own backyard garden. It's easier than you think! 

Have space in your yard and like the idea of fresh veggies from the garden but just not sure how to get started? 

Garden volunteer and neighbor Monique Sullivan will walk through how she turned her backyard parking pad on 2nd St. NE into a vegetable garden. 

Bring a notepad and we'll plan out your fall or next summer garden on the spot!
