Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT) Ribbon-Cutting

These pictures are from the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new section of the Metropolitan Branch Trail opening. During the speeches it was announced that the entire trail would be completed in 3 years - looking forward to May 3, 2013.

I also got to talk with some people in the crowd whose companies are planning more improvements to the trail and the landscaping. I was promised updates which I will share as I get them.

  1. It was good that it didn't rain during the event. I thought for sure that it was going to rain all day.
I happen to notice that some shrubs that were recently planted were taken. I hope all the hard work that everyone has put in and been involved with the trail won't go to waste or taken to someone's private garden. All in all the trail is great.

  2. Exciting! I've been pondering how to get downtown for things like Screen on the Green now that the parking lot is closed (I don't like walking or waiting for the buses late at night), now I can bike down to the Mall! Oh, well, I mean, once I get some air in the tires...
