Free movie nights starting next week! Also cleanup is this Saturday

Dear movie night voters and Friends of Edgewood,

THANKS MUCH to you, and the other 98 community members who nominated, voted on, and selected the four selections being featured at this year's Edgewood Outdoor Movie Series!

WHO:  EVERYONE is invited! Bring your blanket or chairs. Co-sponsored by Friends of Edgewood and Met Branch Trail 5K
WHERE:  On the Met Branch Trail by the Rhode Island Ave NE Pedestrian Bridge and "Big Lots" shopping center
WHEN:  At dusk (8:30ish) every Thursday in July
Thursday, July 7                Back to the Future
Thursday, July 14              Lean On Me
Thursday, July 21              Inside Out
Thursday, July 28              Cool Runnings
(Rain dates: August 4 and 11)
Just like last year, short films about other DC nonprofits' good work will precede each family-friendly feature presentation. Movies will be shown with closed-captioning so no one misses anything. We're excited!

Also, please get involved by joining this month's neighborhood cleanup: this Saturday, July 2, @ 10:30-11:30 AM. Meet by Edgewood Rec. Center: 3rd and Evarts St. NE.

Gloves and bags are provided. Free cook-out for volunteers afterward. Friends of Edgewood sponsors this easy volunteer activity -- the first Saturday of every monthCome meet friendly neighbors, clear litter from our sidewalks, and chat about local news and fun upcoming events.

If you can't make it, tidying outside your house helps everyone too! If you have questions, just ask cleanup founder
