Hello everyone,
I just wanted to announce that Gospel Rescue Ministries has been hired to provide maintenance on the Met Branch and Anacostia trails. Their team will begin work next Tuesday starting with the Met Branch Trail and work area by area, trail by trail until the trails are all in pristine condition. Thank you volunteers for all the work that you have done while we have been completing this hiring process and we hope that you will continue to help us keep the trails clean (though this should not require as much of your time in the future)!
The trail maintenance team will be maintaining the trails by bicycle. However, they currently do not have trailers and are not sure the best trailer system to invest in. Therefore, if you have an extra trailer in your garage or one you are not using for the winter and would like to let the team use it as they decide what system to ultimately use (or if you have a trailer for sale) please contact Morris Queen at morris@grm.org. For more information about their programs, please see: www.grm.org.
Stay tuned for details and updates on our trail maintenance team!
Best, Heather

The Equinox trailer system is designed to perform just such a task. It is light weight and compact for storage, yet robust enough to carry any load one would want to carry by human power. It can expand in width and length to fit the job requirement. It can be joined into a train. It can convert to a hand cart and back to a bicycle trailer with a twist of a lever.
