“Ensuring Continued Service to Ward 5 Residents”

“We ended our week on a somber note with the resignation of Ward 5 Councilmember

Harry Thomas, Jr. I want to reassure members of the Ward 5 community that there are

five At-Large members available to serve your needs. I am committed to ensuring that

you receive the highest level of constituent services without interruption.

Until a special election can be held to select your new representative, I have directed

my staff to initiate special constituent and outreach services. Phone lines and email

have been redirected to my office to facilitate your requests.

On Tuesday, January 10 at 7:00 pm, Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5C will host

a community meeting at CAPCS located at 1400 First Street, NW with all ANC

commissioners, civic associations, education council and business representatives, and

interested residents to discuss ongoing legislative activities.”
